Scones and Succulents at The Rose Garden Tea House

My afternoon at The Rose Garden Tea House was a nostalgic one. My memory of tea gardens and nurseries goes back to my childhood. Many Saturday afternoons were spent at Sherwood Garden Centre with my mom, her friends and their children, eating cake and drinking chocolate milkshakes, trying to spot the koi fish in the pond, feeding ostriches, chickens and emus, and running along cobblestone paths flanked by rows of flowers. And while I swopped the cake and milkshake for a flat white and a scone, it was wonderful to be transported to the good old days of youth for just a few moments.
