Beauty by Teané’s brand new salon is open for business, and they celebrated the occasion with a beautiful salon opening. I received an invite to attend the event and chat to salon owner, Teané, about her brand’s success story. Take a look at some of the photos from the event, and keep reading to learn more about the heart behind this local salon.
After studying beauty therapy, Teané took a job as a lecturer at a local beauty school, and soon after started a small nail salon, doing her clients’ nails at her kitchen table. As her passion for business grew, Teané started offering beauty workshops in the Bay, and found a need to source gifts for goodie bags at these events. Using her knowledge as a beauty lecturer, Teané decided to formulate her own beauty and skincare products. Since then, she’s grown the range, and sells hand scrub, cellulite scrub, cuticle oil and lip balm under the brand So Soft. These products are produced in Port Elizabeth and sold at the salon.
Besides her own range of products, you’ll also find local skincare brand, Lovisa Life’s products for sale at the salon. Beauty by Teané has also teamed up with Mooiste, a Port Elizabeth-based women’s clothing and accessories store, to create a unique range of earrings for special occasions, including bridesmaid proposal gifts.
Beauty by Teané offers a range of services, including pedicures, manicures, waxing, facials and massages. Teané has invited me to the salon for a deep cleanse facial, and I look forward to sharing that experience with you.
The local beauty salon also plans to host beauty workshops in the future, where ladies can expect to learn more about skincare, beauty and wellness.
To celebrate the opening of their salon, Beauty by Teané invited their clients, as well as a few local bloggers, to browse the store, and enjoy eats from Food with Thought and gin and tonic from a gin bar. Take a look at some of the photos I took at the event.
