5 reasons to pop in and say ‘hi’ at Hello. It’s Me

If you’ve driven down Main Road, Walmer recently, you may have noticed a big, modern building that’s popped up out of nowhere! This building – The 1054 – is home to a few local businesses, including my new foodie favourite, Hello. It’s Me! This trendy restaurant and coffee shop is my new favourite hangout, and there are a number of reasons why it has fast become a popular spot in PE. If you’re looking for an excuse to make your way to this restaurant, here are five reasons to visit Hello. It’s Me.

Best coffee in town

Coffee is my favourite hot beverage, and Hello. It’s Me’s coffee is top-notch! They have single and double cappuccinos, flat whites, espressos, and lattes, and this Walmer gem is a coffee lover’s haven.

good brekkies

Hello. It’s Me have some great breakfast options that are both healthy and delicious. My favourite brekkie is the avocado on toast with chai seeds, but other yummy options on the menu include a full house breakfast, chickpea scramble – a dish of chickpeas, mushroom and grilled tomatoes – bacon and egg salad, and a fruit bowl with yoghurt. Breads served with breakfasts include rye, sourdough, and seeded loaf bread.

super smoothies

If you enjoy a fruity, wholesome smoothie, you’ll be happy to know that Hello. It’s Me serves a variety of yummy smoothies and juices. Ingredients you’ll find in the smoothies include blueberries, apples, carrot, pineapples, strawberries, fresh basil, ginger, lemon and chai seeds. Their menu also features three juice shots, and fresh fruit juice.

Hello. It’s Me caters for the vegan market in Port Elizabeth. Besides the chickpea scramble, Hello. It’s Me also serves a vegan-friendly veggie burger with hummus and cucumber raita. If you’re a vegan coffee drinker, you’ll be happy to know that you can enjoy a cup of coffee with almond milk.

Hello. It’s Me’s biggest attraction is its cool vibe and laid-back atmosphere. The cosmopolitan look and feel, minimalist decor with pops of bright colour, and its setting on bustling Main Road is what makes Hello. It’s Me unique.
